FALL OUT BOY VIDEO.

YOU TUBE VIDEO

In their new video, Fall Out Boy pays homage to Michael Jackson with their cover of his iconic "Beat It" – and they're giving PEOPLE.com a glimpse at exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the video.

"It's not an ode to a specific Michael Jackson video," bassist Pete Wentz tells PEOPLE. "There are between 25 and 50 nods to Michael Jackson in the video – some that you need to pause and do a frame-by-frame to figure it out."

Some of the tributes are obvious: moon-walking and one-gloved dancers, or the band's '80s-inspired wardrobe.

Also look for celeb cameos, including Arrested Development's Tony Hale as a karate sensei. "It's officially going to be my favorite video of ours just 'cause of Tony," says guitarist Joe Trohman.

The full-length video – which was shot in Los Angeles recently – premieres on MTV.com at midnight on Monday. It will also air on Tuesday's TRL.

"You will not feel level when you're done watching. It's just so bizarre," Wentz said. "I watched the first cut the other day and ... I felt high when I was watching it. It was just absolutely insane."

The song appears on a CD packaged with the band's new DVD, Live in Phoenix.

In another nod to the spirit of Jackson's original, Fall Out Boy invited modern guitar hero John Mayer to record the song's epic guitar solo – originated by Eddie Van Halen 25 years ago.

Jackson To Keep Encino Home

Michael Jackson has come up with the money needed to save his Los Angeles home.

Jackson needed more than $400,000 to stop his Encino residence from being sold at a public auction.

Last month, Jackson nearly lost Neverland Ranch to the same fate. But managed to temporarily save it by refinancing the property. Fortress Investment Group originally loaned him the $300 million needed to pay off his debts but, has threatened to sell the Santa Barbara County property at an upcoming auction next month.

A public auction has been scheduled for May 14th at the Santa Barbara Superior Courthouse, and some web-based reports say "vultures are circling with cashier's checks."

Fall Out Boy Say Their 'Beat It' Clip Is Like All Of Michael Jackson's Videos 'But On A Fall Out Boy Budget

'I don't know what our budget is, but I know it does not include enough to get him here,' Pete Wentz says of rumored MJ cameo.

Security was Fort-Knox-tight on the set of Fall Out Boy's new video — for their cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" — and not just because of the whole "Is Pete Wentz a daddy-to-be?" drama that's been following the band for a week now.

No, the reason we're not allowed to actually show you anything from the shoot is because the guys in FOB are rather worried that you'll make fun of the clothes they've been forced to wear by director Shane C. Drake — which could generously be described as "Poison-meets-Spandau Ballet/ NKOTB," only w-a-a-y more embarrassing.

"Shane described the treatment to me, and I didn't get it at all. I mean, it's cool, it's awesome, and I trust his vision, but it all sounded very strange to me, so I don't really know what I'm doing half the time, hence the reason I got talked into wearing this," Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump laughed, pulling at his tattered acid-washed jeans and varsity jacket. "I think we're shooting for 1984, but it looks as though 1988 exploded all over me. I mean, these clothes are totally not strange at all, and they're very comfortable. And they look great on me."

"My costume is this take on one of the guys from Michael Jackson's original 'Beat It' video, like, the guy who plays the rival dancer," bassist Wentz added. "He's in this yacht gear/ dance-gang-fight-gear-attire get-up. Which is amazing. I look pretty good."

Take our word for it: The costumes are pretty epic. And aside from the fashion, here's what else we can tell you about the "Beat It" video: It's less of a remake of MJ's original clip as it is an homage to the Gloved One's entire oeuvre, with cameos aplenty. In fact, while we were on set, we witnessed FOB wandering a Chinatown alleyway, only to stumble onto a karate class/ impromptu-dance session being taught by Tony Hale, who most (OK, most with taste) know from his role as Buster Bluth on the late, lamented "Arrested Development."

"Beat It' Cover A Huge Success

Due to the success of Fall Out Boy's cover version of 'Beat It', the group might need to change their schedule. Bassist Pete Wentz told MTV News that they intended to hit the studio in June or July to work on a new album. However, plans could change, given the success of their cover of the Michael Jackson song - which has quickly become a mainstay in the iTunes top 10. They're now planning to promote the single and Wentz said they'll shoot a video for the track next week.

Michael Jackson dropped from lawsuit against Santa Maria hospital

A judge has dropped Michael Jackson from a lawsuit filed by the family of a woman who died at a hospital soon after she was moved to make room for the pop star.

Judge Rodney Melville - also the judge in Jackson's 2005 child-molestation trial - on Tuesday dropped Jackson from the lawsuit against the hospital in response to a challenge from Jackson's attorney Timothy Gorry.

Melville rejected a similar motion by an attorney for the hospital.

The attorneys could not be reached for comment Wednesday, and a phone message left for a Jackson representative was not immediately returned.

The family of Manuela Gomez Ruiz had sued Jackson and Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria for infliction of emotional and mental distress, claiming she was kept from critical care after she had a heart attack on the same day Jackson was brought in with flu-like symptoms during the child-molestation trial. Jackson was acquitted in the case.

The lawsuit said Ruiz, 73, was on life-support after a massive heart-attack and was moved from a two-bed room so Jackson could occupy it by himself, and complained of an "outrageous, circus-like atmosphere" in the last hours of Ruiz's life.

Michael Jackson and his family are set to star in a reality TV show.

MJONE : Once again the media put Michael's name to something that most fans will laugh at.

Getiing MJ to turn up will be like asking the Queen of England to attend. If the Jackson family are selling this show on the chance MJ will show up then I hope C4 have a dam good contract set up with his sig on it.

Will Michael show, I guess we will have to wait and see........

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The hour-long Channel 4 documentary will follow the musical troupe as they try and fit in with the local community in a small Devon fishing village, in the South West of England.

The family will move into a rented five-bedroom holiday home in the quaint town of Appledore, near Barnstaple, in May.

Tito, who is a judge on BBC 1 talent show 'Just The Two Of Us', will be permanently based at the property, while his superstar sibling Michael, sister Janet, brother Jermaine and parents Joseph and Katherine will fly out for visits.

Last month, Tito - who also has three other brothers, Marlon, Jackie and Randy, and another sister La Toya - revealed he was house-hunting in the area because the family wanted a hideaway in the idyllic English countryside.

Tito said, "My family love North Devon and the wonderful countryside and friendly people, I'm really looking forward to buying a home here. Michael likes it here too, as no one bothers him.

"I am looking forward to living in Barnstaple and I hope the Barnstaple public will respect our family's privacy."

Tito's friend, bodyguard Matt Fiddes, helped make the Channel 4 TV deal, and said the move could be a more long-term arrangement.

"The brothers want to move here permanently," Fiddes said,

Channel 4 said talks are in the early stages.
